Songwriting

Jody Belsher studied music at Western Michigan University. She holds a minor in voice. Belsher has recorded numerous songs from her catalog of more than 1000 songs. Studio sessions have included Nashville, Los Angeles and most recently at San Luis Obispo, where she recorded 11 songs in the past 2 years. She grew up in her parent's music store: Main Music in Skokie, Illinois, where she learned to craft her songwriting. She and her mother, also a talented performer and musician, have sung together on stage. Belsher continues to honor her love of music, songwriting, and playing guitar and piano.
